Yesterday, we released our 2016 specialty jerseys and appearances. Today we are unveiling the 2016 bobbleheads and giveaways for our 2016 season, and we’ve got some fun ones.
Bobbles & Wobbles

Introducing the Gregory Polanco “El Coffee” Bobblehead/Bobblehand, presented by Unifirst! As a play on the 2013 Curve alum and Pirates’ right fielder’s nickname, we’ve got him dressed up as a barista. Not only does the head bobble, but so does his hand (which might be a case of the jitters from a caffeine overload, as further evidenced in his eyes). We’ll be giving them away to the first 1,500 fans at PNG Field on June 17 when the Curve face Hartford on “Salute to Coffee Night.”
For our space-themed “Out of this World Night” on May 20, we’ll give away 1,500 of these Andrew McCutchen Astronaut bobbebodies, courtesy of Asurion.
Over the course of his career, we’ve seen Cutch make some plays that simply don’t make sense with the physics of Earth.
Well, hey. Thanks!
We’ll celebrate Loco’s birthday on July 15, and the first 1,500 fans will receive this Loco Wobble. There will be many other exciting things going on for his birthday party, including an appearance by the Sweetright Brothers.
On April 23, we’ll honor Curve founders/Managing Members Bob and Joan Lozinak to celebrate their induction into the Blair County Sports Hall of Fame this year. The day will include a giveaway of this bobblehead, presented by Peoples.
On April 22, the first 1,500 fans will receive this Altoona Area High School Mountain Lion bobblehead, presented by the Altoona Mirror, as we recognize Altoona Area School District Night.
On May 6, we’ll recognize Bishop Guilfoyle High School Night with a giveaway of this B.G. Marauder Bobblehead to the first 1,500 fans, courtesy of Burgmeier’s Hauling.
Other Giveaways

Daniel Tiger stopped by for “A Night in the Neighborhood” last season when we paid tribute to Fred Rogers, and we’ll have him back at the ballpark again this year for “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Night.” The first 1,000 fans ages 10 & under will receive this Daniel Tiger figurine, presented by the Altoona Grand Hotel.
We’re being super cereal. On July 22, the first 1,500 fans will receive this Al Tuna Cereal Bowl, presented by Allied Milk Producers as part of our Dairy Night.
One night after the season kicks off at PNG Field, we’ll host Soccer Night on April 8. The first 1,000 fans will receive this Curve soccer-style scarf. Scarves have been a popular accessory for soccer fans for over a century, but they can certainly be a fashionable way to show your support for the Curve. We will have other soccer themes in the ballpark throughout the night, as well.
As we begin a weekend of celebrating our nation’s independence on July 1, the first 1,000 fans will receive this card set featuring local military veterans. We are currently accepting submissions for veterans to be featured on these cards, so if you know of someone that should be featured, click here.
The season begins at PNG Field on April 7, and the first 2,500 fans will receive this Curve Jersey Magnet Schedule. Our Opening Day celebration will be packed with lots of fun stuff to get the season rolling, including a Double Fireworks Show.
We will be releasing the full 2016 Curve Promotions schedule tomorrow, which will include fireworks days, exciting theme nights and much more, so make sure you’re following us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat to get the first look.
Single-game tickets go on sale on Monday, Feb. 29, and we’re offering a special Leap Day Sale. Click here for more information.
