It was a wet bus ride from Curve, Pa. to here in Binghamton as it rained pretty much the entire way and rained all the way up until about 5 p.m.  Thankfully, the tarp came off the field, we started on time and were able to get the game in with another storm lurking behind it.  Unfortunately, the Curve were on the losing end of the first game of the road trip but there’s still plenty of time left on this six-game trip to grab a few wins.

Wanted to move away from the baseball diamond and share with you a couple of things that we’ve got coming up here at the ballpark over the next few weeks because we’re home pretty much most of the month of June.

Firstly, though, the Curve were finally able to get the mascot crew together to get in on the dance that’s sweeping the world (or has swept the globe depending on how you look at it).  During our Panera Bread Great American Bagel Race in the final game of the homestand, we unleashed Mascot Mayhem, which isn’t entirely uncommon.  What is uncommon, however, was that a mid-race production of the Harem Shake usually doesn’t happen either.

What ensued:

What if We Were the Coasters Night

For a second straight year we’ll ask what if the Curve were not the Curve at all but instead had gone with a different name of the ones that were finalists for the Name the Team Contest that happened prior to the Inaugural Season.  Last year it was Lake Monsters and this year it’s Coasters.  These jerseys below, which were made possible thanks to Beck’s Maintenance, will be auctioned off during the game on Thursday, June 6 when Reading is in town.  Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Dreams Go On chapter in Altoona.
