We here at the Curve hope that everyone had a safe and happy holiday season and we all really can’t believe that its 2012 already…crazy! Well with a new year comes resolutions and I’ll be the first to admit that we here didn’t do the best of jobs with a constant stream of blog posts in 2011 so I’m here to rectify that right now and go on record that we’ll post at least once a week.
So let’s get to it. 93 days until Opening Day 2012. Crazy stuff. In case you didn’t know, the Curve open at home this year on April 5th versus the Erie SeaWolves (Tigers) at 6:30 p.m. P.J. Forbes returns to pilot the Curve in 2012 and he’ll be joined by Jeff Johnson (Pitching Coach) and Ryan Long (Hitting Coach) along with Mike Zalno (Athletic Trainer).
Speaking of new faces, we actually have two new front office staff members joining us today in the office in Cody Clifton and Steffan Langguth. Both Clifton and Langguth are fresh out of college (James Madison and Pittsburgh, respectively) and will be working in the ticketing department. They’ll soon be put in cartoon form by our one and only Bill Bettwy and be thrown up on AltoonaCurve.com soon so be sure to check those out.
As for heading downhill towards the season, we’re all working on some great giveaway ideas and theme nights as well as some possible enhancements to the ballpark. On a more personal note, this week I’ll be starting to brainstorm ideas to enhance our Curve Chronicle Gameday Program. If you have any suggestions or things you’d like to see in the program, shoot us a comment in this post, on facebook at Altoona Curve Baseball or directly to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Our ballpark looks beautiful under the first real snow doesn’t it?
That’s all for now…
